Generally, if you look at the word staging, you think of, ‘What is it?’, ‘I have never heard it before!’ and so many other questions come to your mind.  Let me start by telling you that it’s not what you really think.  It’s much more simpler than you think.

Staging is general terms for making a house look neater, better looking in terms of appeal, better organized, warmer.  Basically what I am trying to say is that it is anything that makes the house look different in ways that it would be more appealing to the person who would want to buy it.

So now we know a little background on staging, let’s go onto a little more detail.  Staging as I said before will make your house shine more into the crowd of houses that are for sale.  Staging is in a nutshell on how you ‘dress’ your house.  What I refer to ‘dressing’ your house is I am not referring to repairs, paint, and all sorts of those things.  I am referring to like furniture, decoration and arrangement of household materials and what not.

Now you may be wondering why would you want your house under the terms of staging? It is understandable that in today’s economy, money spending and saving is a key feature, not only is United States economy is in the ground, but the recession has been hit all around the world.  I myself from experience can tell you that when I was searching for a house with my family, we were concerned about how the house appeared, how the house looked inside and out.  From a buyer’s point of view, I can say that a house should always look it’s best.

I personally would not buy a house that is $30,000 and is very cheap, needs repairs and what not.  I would buy a house, which was good looking on the inside, and out, of course with quality comes price, so the house may cost $60,000. I would honestly buy a house that is a bit more expensive and does not require any work other than the regular maintenance work that would be required in all houses.

So in a nutshell, staging is all about making your houses appearance at the top of it’s game, making sure your house is looking the best it can and if your house looks good, the buyer will want to make an offer on it as soon as possible, because not all houses come the same, some come different and some come in the same category.
